Technology for students

I think technology for students is a great way for them to learn. But I also know that it can be used for the wrong reasons. If a child is using a PSP or an Ipod for learning on, do you not think they might get tempted to start playing games or start listening to music. I think it's a better idea to stick with technology that is less child friendly. The furthest I would go with technology in my classroom would be an ipad, laptop, computer, etc. But I do feel like the new generation of children are learning most of what they learn from technology recources.
